I would like to remind my fellow Moslem community that I happen to be half Lebanese. My mother was born and raised in Texas. She was a Christian Lebanese. However, most of her friends were Moslem. And I happen to have the majority of my friends who are Moslem. In spite of having been a Christian. I have the utmost respect for the Moslem faith. I have taken on the FBI when they begin to process or profile Moslems. I went to Washington DC and testified in the US Congress. I have called on the suspension of profiling people of Middle Eastern descent. I urge my fellow Arab community and Moslems to participate in the political process. And the only way we can have our voice heard is by voting on Election Day. March 4, 2008. Every one of us can start voting on February 19, 2008. I would love to come and speak to your community. This is my community. I may be running out of time, but would love for your organization to print my platform and web site in your Islamic web site. Just a reminder, the person I am running against, Steve Radack is racist and prejudice and his slogan in his office is lets send back every Moslem person in the United States back to where they came from. As I type this letter if you were to review my web site you will see that I am about to have him arrested. I ask that you help me promote my website and campaign to as many people as possible. If there is anyway I can assist, please advise me. The Republican Party is the enemy of the Moslem community. It is also anti-black and anti-Hispanic. That is why I changed parties and am running as a Democrat. I am a new Democrat. I believe we are all created equally in the eyes of God. In my church, where I teach Sunday school, we have people who come to visit us from other denominations and religions and faiths. Many of them from foreign countries including China, Thailand and Viet Nam. My ministry among them is helping them secure employment, get a drivers license, find a place to live, and teach them the English language. I am also in charge of visiting prisoners. Every prisoner we minister speak with I investigate their cases. Many of these prisoners are black, Hispanic and from the Middle East. They were simply arrested because of their race and national origin. Our District Attorney is under criminal investigation and he has deliberately with malice, convicted innocent people because of their race. I have been saying that for a long time. Now the facts are becoming more apparent. The DA and many judges are racist and prejudice. My opponent is a member of the KKK. That’s all I can say about him. Please take time to vote.

Sincerely,
Sam Tejas Texas AKA Sam Fayad Texas

Members of my family were invited last month of the 14th to go to Baton Rouge, La. It was the firt time the Governor of Louisiana, who happens to be Indian, was elected. This member of my family knew the Governor elect. My health did not permit me to go at the time. So when I think about Indian immigrants and their community and the many contributions to America - Engineers, Professors, business owners, and scholars.

There are also many brilliant and intelligent people of Indian descent who contribute the best to the United States. I was also invited a couple of weeks to attend University of Houston Central Campus meeting. How proud the Indian Community is to have the new President of U of H to be of Indian descent. I am writing this letter to express how much I admire the Indian Community. My parents hero has always been Gandhi.

I was invited and remember very well October 2003, where the Gandhi statue in Hermann Park was installed. Many family members, relatives, friends in law enforcement, I seldom hear of an Indian person committing a crime, purposely. I remember very well when our Harris County District Attorney filed criminal charges Trustee J Aiyer, who happened to be a decent, honorable guy and American. I knew the motive of the District Attorney was racist and prejudice.

I stood up against Goode, who was prosecuting him. I wrote letters to the DA because I did not and still do not think he should of been prosecuted. Now we know exactly what is going on in the DA office. The purpose of me writing this letter to urge the Indian Community to participate in the political process. I want to urge everyone in our community to vote and urge you to vote for me. I have an open door policy and when I take office as Harris County Commissioner you will always be welcome. I will make sure my office has at least one or two Indians on my staff. My mother was an immigrant; my father was a Native American.

I would like to ask for your vote. I have learned many of my constituents in my district are South East Asian. I would love to accept an invitation to address the community. If I am invited I would appreciate very much if you publish my letter to your organization. In order to let my family in South East Asia and India to know I am one of you. My mother fulfilled her desire to be a missionary to India and served under Mother Theresa charity. I met Mother Theresa as a young boy. I love the Indian music and food. I appreciate your support!

Sincerely,
Sam Tejas Texas
